If you’ve ever been graced by Nuel's presence, you would probably feel all warm inside instantaneously. Nuel has the distinct gift of making people feel welcome and comfortable to let loose. Nuel and I have been friends for 9 years and have had adventures a-plenty. It was obvious from the start that we had so much in common, whether it be our love for Dragon Ball Z, pop culture or for going out. During our tenor at Abercrombie & Fitch Nuel and I went out, I would say, almost every week. Chasing girls and getting drunk in our early-and-mid-twenties. It was a surreal experience but it feels like yesterday.
I remember one of the last nights we hung out at Abercrombie & Fitch we went out for fat sandwiches and he wasn’t saying much. After a silence throughout the course of our dinner he said something along the lines of, “Now that you’re leaving Abercrombie, we probably won’t be friends anymore.” He didn’t mean it in a negative way, but rather because it was the thing keeping us together. Nuel, not sure if you remember this conversation, but I took it to heart. You will always be one of my best friends and that statement has stuck with me forever. Abercrombie was where our friendship began, that’s all.
The Proof is in the pudding: throughout the years, Nuel and I have had many parties and hangouts together. He’s been one of the key voices of reason during my manic episodes and he’s helped my parents move countless times. Nuel is the kind of guy who will show up instantly and lend a helping hand whenever possible. He’s a genuinely a good soul and I love him for it.
Nuel our journey began at Abercrombie & Fitch and will transcend the test of time. You’ve been a brother to me, and I cannot wait to learn how to breakdance with you for my wedding. Love you, big guy.
