Love comes in many shapes and sizes. In fact, one of the beautiful things about love is that no two relationships are the same. No matter what similarities you might have with another couple, you’re probably experiencing different things on the back end. With Katie and I, this is no different. 

I’ve had many highs and many lows with my Katie. She’s taught me the value of compromise, responsibility and most importantly to be there for one another through thick and thin. In all honesty, I’m not quite sure where I’d be without her if we’d never met. Probably a lot worse for wear: still living with my parents, trying to find the meaning of life. But I get it now. I see the big picture, and Katie, you’re it.

When you analyze Katie she seems like a quiet girl. Someone that keeps to herself and thoroughly independent. At her core though. Katie is incredibly fun and a joy to be around. She’s my true partner in life, always willing to go on antics with me just to see me smile. And Katie, seeing you smile when we’re together makes me happier than I could explain. You have a smile that can turn even the darkest soul to the light. It warms my heart when you’re happy, and it’s my job to continually seek that happiness through the rest of our days.

I love that we’ve developed an affinity for pop culture madness. I’m not sure if that was in your initial vision, but it’s become a big part of our relationship. And yes, that pop culture fixation is similar to what I have with my other friends. The only difference is, it’s *our* world we’re building together. Whether it’s Winnie the Pooh or Cookie Monster we get to see all of our favorite characters interact in JG and Katie’s playhouse. That’s special. And whenever we finally get to fully decorate our house together, it’ll truly be a sight to see. A world filled with an imagination and hope. There’s no place I’d rather raise a family than a home uniquely filled with all we love.

Your support holds no bounds. I can’t describe how grateful I’ve been throughout our entire relationship journey. Firstly, you’ve supported my creative endeavors. Everytime I have a creative itch, you tell me to scratch it. You’re always there cheering me on in the background giving your full support, like a true partner should. I couldn’t ask for more, but you give it. When it comes to my mental health, you allow me to prioritize it, even when it might cause a financial strain on our situation. That’s a tough pill to swallow, yet we always figure it out. You just understand what’s most important. 

Katie I love you more than words could describe. You’re the apple of my eye and nothing will ever change that. I cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together. My whole life I’ve been waiting to go through life with my soulmate and you, Katie Taylor Mckinzie, are most certainly it.
