They say that the people we meet at work are crucial to a great work experience, Marj and Jolene are no exception to the rule. It’s funny, because I actually never worked with Jolene when I was at Abercrombie and Fitch. Yet she was always there popping in for our antics. These girls have been bundles of joy and positivity throughout my adulthood.
Let’s start with Marj. she has always had the role of group mom in our Abercrombie unit. Marj always wants to make sure that you’re taken care of, well fed, and generally content or happy with your day. There’s this general warmth that Marj radiates that makes you feel all gooey inside. She’s a mother of what will soon be two kids and whenever I see her with her family, you can just tell it’s what she was meant to do. Marj is a natural caregiver and the fact that she’s always been around to provide that comfort is a testament to that.
Jolene is no different. She also has a true kindness that, in my opinion, cannot be matched. There’s something truly genuine about her that brings out the best in people. Whether it’s her funny demeanor or kind at heart qualities, she genuinely has the ability to make you smile. Coincidently she, also has two kids both of the same gender and in the same order as Marj’s kids. These girls are forever linked as the Abermoms.
I’ve had the pleasure of seeing these girls families expand. I consider them true members of my family and they both have been there through it all. I cannot wait for us all to grow old with each other. There’s so many more milestones to share between us. For such a weird place to meet lifetime family members, I truly treasure the days of Abercrombie. I’m thankful that I met the Abermoms and got to experience the former Aberdays of yesterday.
